GRAMMAR QUESTION, Nov. 21st

Correct the errors in the following sentence:

When I arrived in Paris neither the bus or the trains was running, the following day the buses were running and trains started to move later in the afternoon.

Remember that there is more than one possible correct answer.

When I arrived in Paris neither the buses nor the trains were running. The next day the buses were running and the trains started moving later in the afternoon.

When I arrived in Paris neither the buses nor the trains were running. The next day the buses were running again, however it was not until late afternoon when we were able to use the trains.

When I arrived in Paris, neither the buses nor the trains were running. The next day the buses were running again; but it was not until later in the afternoon when the trains began to move.

Richard: Excellent solution.
Tammy:--your use of "when" changes the meaning.
