Nancy: #1--a phrase is more that one word;-) #2--you need to add a dependent clause to the one you were given; #3--this is a dependent clause--here you needed to add an independent clause.
1. After long winter, I find harder to study in summer.
2. I find it harder to study in summer when it is time for a vacation.
3. I find it harder to study in summer and I often find myself wondering about next vacation.
1. I find it harder to study in summer for most people.
2. I find it harder to study in summer while other people are on vacation.
3. Since I find it harder to study in summer, I de-enrol from the summer course.
Irena: #1--good apart from a missing article; #2--good; #3--yes, but remember the punctuation needed between independent clauses;-)
Ying: #1--You might want to think about this--you appear to have two different subjects ("I" and "most people"); #2--good; #3--this is another dependent clause.
#3 I find it harder to study in summer;therefore, I de-enrol from the summer course.
